A short, honest summary of what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Last updated: 30 May 2026 · v0.1 (placeholder draft, to be reviewed by counsel before public launch)
1. What we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the answers you provide in the Profile form (date of birth, income, investments, loans, insurance, retirement savings). We also collect anonymous usage analytics — page views, the calculators you use, and aggregate engagement — to improve the product. We never collect bank credentials, OTPs, or transaction passwords.
2. Why we collect it
Profile data is the input to every personalised calculator and score on Dhan Metrics. Without it, the dashboard's projections, the Past Returns back-tests, and the Financial Health score cannot be tailored to you. Usage analytics help us understand which calculators users find useful and which to build next.
3. How we store it
Your data is stored on Supabase (Postgres) with Row-Level Security enabled — every row carries your user id and our database policies enforce that you can only read or write your own row. We never log into your account or read your data manually. Backups are encrypted at rest.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with any third party for marketing. The only third parties that touch your data are infrastructure providers: Supabase (database + auth), Vercel (hosting), and PostHog (anonymous analytics). All three are bound by their own data-processing agreements.
5. Your rights
You can view and edit every field of your Profile from the Profile page. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@dhanmetrics.com (deletion confirmed within seven days). You can opt out of analytics from this Privacy Settings page once the toggle ships.
6. SEBI positioning
Dhan Metrics is an educational tool. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Nothing on this site, including calculators, dashboards, or historical back-tests, constitutes investment advice. Always consult a qualified adviser before making investment decisions.
7. Updates to this policy
We will update this page whenever our data practices change. Material changes will be announced via email. The version date below indicates when this page was last revised.
