About
Personal finance, measured.
Dhan Metrics is the clarity layer for serious Indian investors who want to think in decades, not days. 50+ India-calibrated calculators, pre-computed answers and long-form guides — all built on open math, no ads, no mid-calculation upsells.
Why this exists
Most personal-finance calculators on the Indian internet share a problem: they were built once, never updated, ad-stuffed, and quietly assume you’re a US investor. They run on stale tax slabs, use US-style return assumptions, and ignore the actual rules — Section 10(13A), Section 87A rebate, PPF’s quarterly rate revisions, the difference between Old and New Regime — that decide what your real corpus looks like.
Dhan Metrics was built around a different assumption: India has its own rulebook, and a calculator that respects it is more useful than one that doesn’t. Every input default, every interpretation panel, every “what if you” tile is tuned to Indian numbers — FY 2025-26 tax slabs, ~12% equity-MF long-run average, real PPF rate, HRA metro/non-metro rules, EEE treatment for PPF and SSY.
Our principles
India-calibrated, not generic
Every assumption — tax slabs, PPF rate, equity return ranges, HRA rules — uses the actual Indian rulebook. We don't paint a global template green and call it Indian.
Open math
Every formula lives in the public repository. The methodology page lays out the SIP annuity-due derivation, the EMI reducing-balance formula, the three-rule HRA exemption, the FY 2025-26 slab implementation. If a number looks wrong, you can audit it.
Clarity over clutter
No popups, no ads, no upsells mid-calculation. Just the inputs that move the answer, the answer in plain numbers, and a short explanation of what the answer actually means.
Educational only
Dhan Metrics is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Every projection is a model — useful for thinking, not a guarantee. For decisions that materially affect your finances, talk to a qualified adviser.

We publish the math. Read the methodology page for the exact formula behind each calculator, the data sources for government rates, the FY 2025-26 tax slabs we implement, and the limitations we’re honest about (constant-rate assumption, sequence-of-returns risk, tax-on-redemption nuance). If a formula looks off, please tell us — methodology fixes are top of the queue.
